EasyDoc Customer Usability Beta Testing Plan

OBJECTIVES

Primary: 

  • Determine whether version 3.2.2 should lead with the process documenteter plugin or another feature
  • Finalize the feature name 

Secondary:

  • Use Minimal Viable Research (smallest amt of research to yield valuable findings) to experiment with usability testing 

METHODOLOGY

We're proposing a 2-part customer beta testing plan. 

  • Part 1 - Work with Support + Professional Services to recruit 10- 20 current enterprise customers. Invite customers to attend a private webinar about the plugin on Friday Dec 15 at 11AM EST. After the demo is complete, we will lead a discussion w/ prepared questions, to get feedback on the feature. During the demo, customers can also message us w/ questions. After the webinar is complete, we will have the participants fill out a short survey about the plugin and plugin name. 
  • Part 2 - Conduct remote usability testing with 3-5 customers who participated in Part 1. A week prior to testing, we will provide these participants with the plugin to install + WIKI documentation. The customer can try out the plugin prior to our research, and they are not required to. To conduct the usability test, we will screen share with the customer over Skype. We'll assign them a task to complete using the plugin. We will instruct them to walk us through their process, as we record their actions and our discussion. After they complete the task, we will ask them questions about their experience and thoughts.
